Merry Christmas

We had a very full Christmas, way to much indulgence and still feeling very full indeed. We once again visited friends in Brisbane for a five night stint cooling off in their pool. Our time also included Elliot who came over from New Zealand on the 23rd and then went onto Sydney for five days seeing in the New Year there…It was good to see him after so long.

Tweaked Nigella's home made Xmas cake.
Sultanas, raisins, cranberries, crystallised ginger, chopped apricots, orange and lemon peel. Soaked in orange juice and brandy for three days. Baked slowly and then a healthy lashing of Cointreau.

Should be made all year round......

International Space Station

We have been enjoying watching the Space Station fly over again.
Follow it here.

It can be seen very clearly with decent binos. Our dear freind Jo gave us some Russian optics "Kronos 20x60". Fabulous and just perfect for studying the night skys. Thank you Jo.

Meanwhile, we'll work on capturing a better image without the cloudcover. So much fun. Next time!

Merry Christmas to all.

Love from the Maces.

There's a storm a coming.

A little break on the Sunshine Coast with spectacular storms and undeterred dog walkers.
