Merry Christmas

Yet again, we are all very excited about Christmas. Edward is ecstatic counting down the days and has already found where we had hidden the presents. Good job Emma had them under wraps...
We'll be off to Brisbane celebrating the event with a car laden with presents and foods.

All is well with the Maces. Our weather is amazing, finally had some rain after another long dry run and amazingly the garden jumps back to life so we are enjoying the spring before the furnace of heat. Edward's school is coming to a close and Mum has almost finished traveling so getting ready for Xmas.

Another school holiday and another break at Marcoola QLD. Kicking back with beach, apartment, pool and the obligatory sunshine castle.

Nine

We celebrated Edwards 9th birthday by going away to Girraween environmental lodge just 90 minutes away and surrounded by national park. Its our new discovery and great for a winter get away with plenty of gentle walks with no one else around. So peaceful.

Mum's away away travelling to the US while Edward and I make it to the sunshine coast for a long weekend break. The weather was wet but we made do and one of the spectacular things was to watch the sun come up in a blaze of light..

One year on

Milo is almost one and fitting in perfectly. Such a loving little doggy in fact maybe a little too much, constantly vying for attention. Ooh and food!

Easter break away.

Easter break away at our favourite retreat in Marcoola QLD. With days of 26c we switch between apartment, beach and pool. Don't really need to do too much more but!

 There is a mock castle filled with all things historical.

Should keep every young boy happy.

Rob's 50th birthday bash

Weekend away at glorious Byron Bay NSW renting out a holiday home 200m from the beach. Swimming in warm waters and fine dining at night celebrating Rob's 50th. It's no wonder that we are all smiling...

Day at our local zoo..

We had a morning out at our local zoo and to our amazement they had a rescued Saltwater Crocodile which was given them by the authorities after they captured it from a driver trying to smuggle it. No doubt for profit. Its illegal to capture "Salties" which are protected and punished with heavy fines for the offender. The zoo saved this little creature from near death but obviously will have to deal with its rapid growth into adulthood. It will possibly grow between 5-7 meters with a bite force of 2-3 tons psi. Right now its bite was held by a tiny elastic band!...It was truly amazing to hold.

Back to school year 3

After over 9 weeks of summer holiday we are all ready for Edward's return to school. Just a gentle 3 day introduction to settle in with our new teacher."I don't recall any such gentleness when I was at school". But two days in and going strong. We are lucky to have such a well structured education and lucky too that Edward enjoys it...Keep it up boy..Shame about the cake!
