Adrenaline Junkie

Summer fun often involves pushing on the swing...I don't think that our kiddies will ever grow out of this...
It also seems that the only one concerned is Dad screaming..."Hold on tight!"

So, Edward in full flight complete with 70's afro curls..I would have died for them...

Schools out for Summer

Just broken up from school and ready for summer fun. Another passion for our little one is everything about Ants. We sure have enough of those on our property and as soon as we awake Edward will search for and collect specimens to write his own stories.

Back on my feet

So back on my feet after jet-lag I think it took me the best part of a week to recover. But Mummy took us away to the Sunshine coast how good is that?....

Since then it's been flat out with life and I've only just got around to the bank of photographs that I had taken during my holiday. I'll post my favourites below...

Good to be back home

Weekend away...

OK, it may be our cold winter and we're not able to dip in the sea but a walk on the beach is still spectacular. So we headed off to the coast for a long W/E just the three of us, Grandpa was looking forward to the Wimbledon final...So off we went to Bribie Island, a sleepy resort just north of Brisbane. Gentle days and a few take-away's unheard of for us, but a welcome break...

Picnic before winter

Picnic before winter sets in, which might be a shock for Grandpa but we take every opportunity to unwind and enjoy in-between school and work...

This local spot is a short drive away of about 25 minutes. Tranquil and beautiful....

Happy Easter.

Dear all,

Sorry for the belated Easter wishes but things have been a little frantic and it never seems to slow down.
Anyway we are all well...Enjoying the lovely cool weather..Just got back from the Sunshine coast which is rapidly turning into our favourite holiday home. It's a beautiful apartment on Marcoola, QLD. Google it if you can. But basically we have high sea views with a beach right in front of the apartment and at the rear, a very large swimming pool. Dad say's it's reminiscent of Skipsea...This as you can imagine would keep us all in a relaxed state....But isn't that what holidays should be?

And Edward's love of everything Castle and Knights

All good..

Weekend birthday celebrations at our place with Nigel, Yvette & Jade for Nigel's forthcoming birthday.
Of course we mostly spent the whole weekend overindulging and giggling especially Grandpa, who was enjoying Nigel's playful banter.

After the heat-Comes the rain

You may have seen the news of floods in QLD yet again so we wanted to reassure you that we are fine. However there was devastation to some homes along the river, the town was cut off for a couple of days and our local sports hall was turned into an evacuation centre for those in need. But today however, the sun is out and the waters are receding. We had over 200 ml in 36 hours while others received 500 ml and more!
We are lucky....
The image above is our main road and bridge north out of town with parks either side under a deluge of water.
